Hartstone: Family Camp

This is the first of two rounds of pictures from Hartstone. We spent the Fourth of July weekend in potter valley at our churches camp. The days were beautiful and so relaxing. This is the hightlight week of our whole summer. I look forward to it for a year. Enjoy the fun pictures.

Bekah loves her daddy. You can see it in her eyes.

Happy Fourth of July: The blue and red cupcakes colored your whole mouth but they did make a really cool looking flag.

We had stuff for dinner that Bekah doesn't really eat. Plus she saw her cupcake sitting there. Finally we gave in and just let her have her cupcake. I'm sure it won't kill her. We just won't make a habit of that.

We enjoyed spending time by the fire in the early mornings. Bekah snuggles with mommy.
Smile!

Pastor Stan tried everything to make friends with Bekah. She wouldn't smile at him or talk to him at all. Morgan sat next to Pastor Stan then got up. Bekah went over and climbed up right next to him. Still no smile but she did sit next to him. The next day she smiled and talked to him a bunch. Must be just slow to warm up or something.

Walking to breakfast. On the 3rd day of camp Bekah woke up and started calling out, "Mommy, mommy. I hungy!" We got ready for the day and walked down to the dining hall. After getting her some milk she was still hungry. She walked into the dining room and pulled the booster seat off the shelf. She carried it over to the bench, set it down and climbed up. She sat there for awhile waiting for food that wouldn't come for 1 more hour. Poor kiddo. Oh, by the way, the reason she was so hungry was because she only ate a cupcake for dinner the night before.

In the dining hall with her bag of toys.

Bekah and Matt sat down and played chess. They each took turns playing.

Bekah and daddy get to play in the river. It was a little cold but they enjoyed it.

Just like daddy. So cool!

Ready for lunch. We all meet outside the dining hall to sing a Hartstone tradition song and pray. Bekah loved it when we all sang.

Howarth Park

We had a fun day a Howarth park. Elyse came with her son Chase. Jeremy and Jessie also had a fun day at the park with us. After a fun picnic we let all the kids play on the playground. It was a beautiful day.

Mommy gets a quick hug.

Jeremy did a good job of helping Bekah stay out of the lake.

The lake was beautiful.

Jeremy loved climbing the wall. He made it to the top several times.

After the park we all went to Yogurt Farm to get some frozen yogurt.

Bekah enjoyed her icecream. Unfortunately, she couldn't hold her cup so it wouldn't spill. I tried to help her by holding the icecream for her. Bekah got mad and threw it on the ground. I picked it up and went to scrap off the dirty icecream. I turned around and saw Bekah using her spoon to scrap the icecream off the floor and eat it. Yuck! She was mad I made her stop and then wouldn't let her hold her cup. That was it for the icecream.

Graduation weekend

Ok, I am so far behind on my blogging, but I have pictures that are cute and I really want to blog them so bear with me. My cousin Johny graduated from Rincon Valley Christian School in May. Our family went to his graduation and then to the party the next day. Bekah had lots of fun jumping on the trampoline with her cousins Courtney and Michelle.

Cousin Catie and Johny play ping pong together.

My parents were able to come down for Johny's graduation. They really enjoyed spending time with Bekah too.

Playing with the Family

Bekah is growing so much. Lots of new words every day. Today she woke from her nap and started calling out, "I hungy! I hungy!" She knows how to get mommy in there to get her up. Yesterday our neighbor Elyse was watching her for an hour or two. Bekah got hungry so she went and stood next to the highchair and waited. After a few minutes she asked, "Snack?" Elyse got the message and Bekah got her snack.

Bekah loves her "Bae" as she calls Bailey. Our dog puts up with Bekah so nicely. She doesn't mind it when she gets colored with chalk, is used as a slide or gets a big hug from Bekah.

Playing with Daddy.

Sometimes clothes are very difficult to put on. Bekah loves to try!

I snuck up on Bekah at the end of her nap. I woke her by taking pictures. That is why she has a disgruntled look on her face. I really love to watch her sleep. I just wish she slept harder cause I tend to wake her when I do that and then I get reprimanded for waking her. Oops.
